The Paw Behind Our Logo

You may notice something new in the JR Photography watermark — a small paw print. While it may be a simple addition, the meaning behind it is much bigger. The paw was added in memory of Tucker Budzyn, the beloved Golden Retriever who became one of the most recognized dogs on social media.

Beginning in 2018, Tucker's personality, expressions, humor, and adventures brought happiness to millions of people around the world. He passed away on September 2, 2026, at only eight years old. We've followed Tucker for years, and as the proud owner of our own Golden Retriever, Murphy, his loss hit especially close to home.

JR Photography has always been about more than taking pictures. It's about appreciating wildlife, animals, and the moments they give us — whether it's a Bald Eagle soaring over the James River or a Golden Retriever simply making someone's day a little better.

So we added the paw. It's our small way of remembering Tucker and recognizing the impact animals can have on our lives. It also represents Murphy and every animal, wild or domestic, that reminds us why we love doing what we do. Rest easy, Tucker. Your paw print reached farther than you could ever know. 🐾
